Cerebral gigantism, the condition described by Sotos et al in 1964, consists of excessively rapid
growth rating from infancy followed by a normal growth rate, acromegalic features, and a non-
progressive neurological disorder manifested by clumsiness. The etiology of cerebral gigantism is not
clear. Increased growth hormone levels have not been documented and somatomedin activity was
